This model was released in the October 1999, and was followed in May 2000 by an "accessory set". This contains a selection of tools, cabinets, supplies and other equipment to be found in a racing pit.
I first made this motor cycle in 2002, just as published. When I had built all the other models then available at half size, I returned to it and made a new half-size version. This time I did a little repainting in a graphics program to tone down the very bold dotted black fold lines on the lighter coloured parts. [See the white rear cowling in the photo above, for example.]
